What we'd like to see with GW:EN
I haven't come across a thread dedicated to this topic, so I thought I'd just create one here. Sorry if there already is a thread about this and I just happened to miss it.
Add to my list, shoot down my ideas, make it better... What would you like to see GW:EN bring to GW1?
- New Character creation skins. Since GW:EN isn't going to have any new professions or a starter area, I would like to see GW:EN add more options (skins) for the current professions (across all campaigns). I have quite a few slots left which I would love to fill, but I have no interest in 90% of the skins currently available (including face, hairstyle, and available hair colour and skin tone). If GW:EN added to those available in character creation, I would love to make use of them and create more alts. I'm waiting, however, in hopes that this will someday happen.
- +2 Character slots. Just because it's not a full campaign doesn't mean they can't offer everyone this kind gesture. It would also compliment the new character skin options (if applied).
- Dye/Key Storage (similar to Materials Storage). I extremely appreciate what aNet is doing for our Storage Facilities currently, but I still feel that this one is a must.
- Minipet storage. It would not only provide a list of all the minipets available (also similar to Materials Storage), but it would also make them easily stored and transferable between all characters. Dye/Key and Minipet storage could be purchased from [Storage Upgrades] just as Materials Storage was.
- COMPLETE MAP! A single COMPLETE MAP that links Tyria, Cantha, Elona, the North (and possibly even the battle isles) so that we have one map to use for map-jumping and travel. This would be extraordinary because people would no longer have to use the ships and could jump to wherever they like; but, more importantly (!), this would be really exciting for players who have been dying to see the continents in relation to each other!!!
I'm sure I have missed some important ideas that people have already mentioned in other various threads.. Please share them here!

/signed for dye/key storage,skins and slots.
/notsigned for minipet storage. sorry i dont see the use of it. I know some people collect them but if we free up dye and key slots you should be able to put you minis in reg storage.

The storage problem will be solved with the update. For each campaign you have, the more storage you got.
+2 slots, sounds fair /signed
For the character thingy, if you ever played Top Spin (Xbox), they have a pretty neat face builder thing. Extend the nose... give the nose an arch... make the lips wide, thin, just large... etc.
I'd like it like that.

I can understand why you wouldn't want minipet storage, especially if you are not a collector; but if aNet keeps adding minipets, they will eventually take up too much space in storage. Considering there is no practical advantage within the game's aesthetics to owning minipets, it doesn't make sense to me that those who choose to collect them should have to forfeit their storage space for them.
Thanks for signing on the rest, though! I agree, that the rest are definitely more important.
Can anyone think of other things that GW:EN should "expand" for us?

as theres no new proffesions in the new one i think the extra 2 slots would be a good idea, especially as it means you can have one of every profession (providing u own all the games).

think of the festival hats guy as a hat storage, once youve shown him the hat you can craft it whenever (for a shocking price of 10g) so you can delete them really as long as youve shown them, and craft them when you (if you) ever need them lol

- GW:EN is for already created characters, not for new ones. I'll add the stylist idea instead. But hey... with new hairstyles and stuff, of course, XD.
- I agree with the two slots. Currently I can't buy slots only, nor add other game keys to get more slots. I would even pay a whole game If I could add slots that way.
- I'll sign for storage tab for each single stackable item with traders (dyes, scrolls, materials, keys.... NOT runes or weapon mod stuff, thought) and, over all things, with TROPHY drops (collector stuff) I save many trophyes to use them with collector, so I usualy have a lot of those, and it's not that you could crach the economy by hoarding 8gold worth items.

Chaacter skins
New character skins would be interesting, though I don't think thats what they're going for here. It's my understanding (and I could be wrong here) that the campaign will be designed around you starting with your level 20 characters that have cleared 1 (or more) campaigns already. It's a cool idea and all, but seems to contradict what they're trying to do with this installment.
Additional charater slots
2 would be cool. I would find 1 to be reasonable (for reasons stated above).
Additional Storage
We'll be getting yet another box along with this expanion (thats 5 total for those who own all campaigns) This seems like enough to me, however I'm not much of a packrat to start with.
New Character Classes
I have to say absolutley not, and I'm very glad that they aren't making more classes. New classes have consistantly caused problems for the PvP side of the game.
New Skills
I like their approach to making skills PvE only. Just like with new classes, new skills can unbalance PvP very easily (and have). I would actualy prefer to see a larger portion (50% or so) go to PvE only.
These pieces of info, along with the latest update have changed my view on GW:EN from 'I really don't care' To 'Lets see what else they are going to do.' This coming from someone who had dismissed the game as dead. You havn't sold me on this thing yet Anet, but keep up what you're doing now, and there's a good chance I'll bite.

Character Skins I understand that GW:EN isn't targeted towards new players, but when people have completed campaigns, they might find the desire to create new characters and experience the games from the start again. I personally would love to have at least two characters of each profession (male and female), but I find that I have little to no interest in most of the skins available. Also, many people who have limited themselves to few professions might be further inspired to try other professions out if more skins were available to their liking. Besides, it would really support the 2 extra slots ideal. Finally, it could be an incentive for those who have not yet completed a campaign to go ahead and purchase it while they work towards this goal|!
Additional Character Slots SmithyBen and MithranArkanere have great points. With 2 additional slots, that allows possibility of one per profession. Also, some people don't have access to a credit card and have no other way of purchasing new character slots.
Additional Storage I had not considered that we'd get a Vth storage vault with GW:EN since it is just an expansion. I think I would rather have Dye and Key (and minipet) storages a la Materials.
New Professions While the idea of a Bard, Summoner, or something totally unique that have not yet anticipated sound really fantastic, I can understand why PvP players would be concerned about the addition of a new Profession. I still would have liked a new continent to explore and two new professions, especially because my favourite part of PvE is exploring new continent, profession, skills, play styles and creating new characters... but I've accepted that there won't be and don't sign this.
Added to the OP: Complete Map!

As a fanatic of hoarding and mapping, /sign to more storage (there's no such thing as too much) and one world map. I'm neutral to the rest.

/signed. As it's an expansion, I see no reason for them not to dabble on a bunch of little additions. I mean think about it. If you buy an expansion to a game, usually, well, it expands upon it! New features and such, as well as lots of additions to the old game. ANet still has some problems with the definition "expansion". This is more of a mini-chapter so far, despite it requiring another chapter. It should have some physical content relation to the other chapters. (I still think it should require Prophecies, not only because you simply HAVE to get that chapter, but since quite a bit of it takes place on Tyria)

/signed, sort of. I don't see much use for it (I don't think anyone needs dye storage except the guy who makes all the dye mixing charts), but I'm not against the entire idea. I mean, there aren't that many other types of items storage upgrades can revolve around.

/signed. Again, I don't think I'll make much use of it, but it's a great idea and it is necessary if we want to make the most of storage upgrade possibilities, as there are few possible things the upgrades could be based upon.

/semi-signed. Ship travel can get annoying if you're just quickly popping in and out of one continent, and yes, I am one of those people who loves to see how the continents are related, as all of our fan-made maps don't look so pretty (Elona's map seems more cartoonish/artistic than Elona and Tyria's, which look a tad more realistic, plus Elona's lighting doesn't match up with that of the edge of the Crystal desert, and triangulation on GuildWiki has led to inconsistent relations of how both continents are connected). On the other hand, this eliminates boat travel, making the world map seem as if it lacks fullness (one less type of map marker ), plus removes the illusion of realistic (albeit not too realistic to begin with seeing how we can map travel) oversea travel, what with having continents in their own map screens and all.

There is one more thing I would Like to see, since it is an 'expansion'.
It is to make some differences betwen campangs to dissppear, just only the ones that makes one or other disadvantageous from others, like Insignia and Armos only in some places... the god statues blessings... etc...
Ah! And travelers!
Yep... remeber the busy people in Pongmey valley? The go from side to sid and such...
It could be fun to have random encounters of NPCs in the explorable ares, maybe a merchant asking for some body guarding to next outposts, and offering you some discounts after he leaves...
Or merchants with some unique stuff you could not fin in any outposts, traveling from place to place..
Maybe a bandit making an ambush...
But completely random, something that could hapened in many palces, and you'll never know when or how they would happen, and with infinite occurrences, so you'll keep finding those

I know Anet will make GW:en well, so the only thing I would like is a storage change: make the tabs = a full window with everything, its tedious clicking and remembering whats in each tab when you're either looking for something.
